بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم
So these are the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. There are no other days which Allaah loves most the good deeds than these ten. In these 10 days, we must do more dhikr and praying. And our tongues must be always moistened with the remembrance of Allaah.
The Prophet said: "There are no days during which good deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days." He was then asked: "Not even Jihaad in the path of Allaah?" So he (the Prophet) replied: "Not even Jihaad in the path of Allaah, except for a person who goes out with his self and wealth and comes back with nothing."
[Bukhari 969]
These ten days are included in the days Allaah appointed for Musa alayhisssalaam:
"And We appointed for Musa thirty nights and added (to the period) ten (more), and he completed the term, appointed by his Lord, of forty nights."
[Soorah Al A'raf" 142]
Allaah completed His religion on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. That is the day of Ara'fah.
"This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islaam as your religion."
[Soorah Al Maidiah 5:3]
On the day of Ara'fah, Allaah frees slaves from the Hell Fire more than any other day. This day is on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. There is great virtue in fasting on this day. The Prophet said: "Fasting the day of Ara'fah expiates the minor sins of two years: the past year and the coming year."
[Muslim 1162]
Eid ul Adha, known also as the day of Al Nahr is on the tenth of Dhul Hijjah. For us, it is on Friday alhamdullilah this year!
I am doing a scrapbook this year. It's what I did before but I understand it better this time so Insha Allaah. I will post the some pictures from my scrapbook as soon as I finish. You could also download it from here and do the same Inshaa Allaah.
السلام عليكم
Maimoonah
